Join in/Just Try It!
Students in my class are encouraged to give it a try. It is important that kids learn to be risk takers and to give things their best shot, even if they fail. You can’t succeed if you don’t try! |
|
MAP Testing
We will take MAP testing in the Fall, Winter, and Spring. These scores are used to effectively design areas of instruction on an individual basis. It is crucial that your child take these tests seriously and do his or her very best so that I can meet his or her needs to the best of my ability. |
|
Partners
I am a firm believer in teachers and parents working together to ensure the best for their children. Please reach out to me with any questions or concerns! |
|
SCREADY and SCPASS
In 4th grade we take the SCREADY ELA, SCREADY Math, and the SCPASS test for either Science or Social Studies. |
|
Volunteering
I depend upon parent volunteers in my classroom. Can you find time to help in our room? Could you come in occasionally to assist with special projects or room parties? Would you be able to come in and read with the students? Do you have a special skill or talent that you could share? Any help that you can give will enrich the quality of learning for your child. |

Your Support
Your support helps the children realize that they are special. Your involvement shows the child that you support their education. Your understanding brings children to the realization that everyone has strengths and weaknesses, but we strive to be better people by learning from our mistakes. |
Zzzzzz!
Make sure that your child gets plenty of rest. Setting and keeping a bedtime is a sure way to help your child be alert and ready to learn each day. |
